National Girls and Women In Sports Day

Help celebrate and support Girls and Women in Sports by attending a sporting event, watching one on tv, talking with family and friends about why we play sports, and the history of the disparity between men's and women's sports over the years. You can take to the backyard or local park and hit or toss the ball around, attend a dance class, or go ice skating, etc. Just showing an interest can help support and continue a child's interest in an activity.

Another way to help support girls and women in sport and help encourage you to move is by joining the NGWSD Virtual 5K & 50mile Challenge through the Women's Sports Foundation. This is a fantastic way to create goals for yourself. Through this challenge you can accumulate your miles by biking, running, swimming or in other activities, too!
